Balmira “Pal” (Antonio) Ferracamo, 99, a lifelong resident of Framingham passed away, Thursday, November 2, 2023 after a brief illness. Born in Framingham, she was the daughter of the late Albino & Laurinda (Brito) Antonio.

Balmira was raised and educated in Framingham, and worked with her sister Elvira “Vera” for many years in the warehouse of Zayres which later became TJX.  Her greatest joy was spending time with her large extended family and loved them dearly.  She particularly enjoyed when family and friends would stop by her Waverly Street home.  And, when she was not visiting with loved ones, she could be found cooking alongside her sister Vera, ironing and sewing.

Pal is survived by her brother, Arthur Antonio of Whitinsville, her sister-in-law, Julie Antonio and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.  Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her beloved husband, Anthony “Hank”, who passed away on May 30th, whom she was married to for 73 years.  In addition, she was predeceased by her brothers, Aurelio, Anthony, Ablino, Joseph, James, and her sister and best friend, Elvira, “Vera” Antonio.

Family and friends will honor and remember Balmira’s life by gathering for a time of visitation in the McCarthy, McKinney & Lawler Funeral Home, 11 Lincoln St. Framingham on Tuesday, November 14th, from 9-10:30AM.  Her Funeral Mass will follow in St. Tarcisius Church, 562 Waverly St. Framingham at 11 o’clock. Interment in St. Tarcisius Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made in Balmira’s name to the charity of your choice.
