Clara T. Stapleton, 94, a lifelong resident of Framingham, died Friday, November 3, 2023 after a period of declining health.
Clara was born and raised in Framingham. She was a lifelong member of St. Stephen’s Church where she went to grammar school. After Framingham High school she received her bachelor’s degree at Emmanuel College and her master’s degree at Boston State. She was an educator by profession and preferred to teach in elementary school her entire career.
Her interests were in golf, working the polls on election day and volunteering at Church. She was a member of the Parish Council, lector and part of the altar linen committee.
She enjoyed family life and was active with her sister, Norma, during their many escapades. Clara eventually became caregiver for her elderly parents. After retirement she became an avid fan of the food network and enhanced her education in the culinary world.
Family and friends will honor and remember Clara’s life by celebrating her Funeral Mass on Wednesday morning, November 8th in St. Stephen Church, 251 Concord St. Framingham at 10 o’clock. Interment will follow in St. Stephen Cemetery.
