MetroWest Medical Center Employee Spotlight: Carlos Mendoza, Manager of Environmental Services

Meet Carlos Mendoza, MetroWest Medical Center’s Manager of Environmental Services. He has worked at the hospital for 13 years!  Originally, he came to the hospital to apply for a job because he was looking for a position that had great medical benefits.  He started in the Environmental Services Department as a housekeeper, and then was offered additional responsibilities and became the manager in 2016.  He says he really likes that he has also been able to help other people grow their careers.  He feels proud of the work he does and the people he does it with.  He really enjoys being able to spend time with staff from other departments.  One of his favorite memories is when the hospital participated in building a dollhouse that was going to be donated to a local family.  Carlos remembers that it was a lot of fun.  In his free time, he likes to hike different trails and work around his home doing yardwork and repairs.
