Dorothy L. (Zucchi) Tosti, a lifelong resident of Framingham, died peacefully in her sleep Friday July 28, 2023. She was 93 years old.

Born in Framingham, Dottie was the daughter of the late Frank & Angela (Biselli) Zucchi. Dottie met her late husband Joseph Tosti when they were 12 years old. They were high school sweethearts, married at 24, and enjoyed 64 wedding anniversaries. Truly a match made in heaven.

Dottie was a graduate of Framingham High School and went on to earn an associate degree in liberal arts from Colby Jr. College.

Dottie was an active parishioner of St. Tarcisius Church as a member of the choir, Eucharistic minister, and lector. She was also a talented artist, poet, singer, dancer, knitter, and cook. She enjoyed time away in Dennis, Massachusetts especially during the off seasons, but mostly she enjoyed the simple things in life. She loved Jesus with all her heart. Her profound faith guided her, and in turn her life was a quiet example of kindness, humility, loyalty, gratefulness and love.  She loved her life and it showed.  She was the happiest, most positive and thankful person and she touched the lives of all who knew her.

Dottie is survived by her devoted children: Barbara of Framingham, Christopher & his wife Christine of Framingham, Paula Cuneo & her husband Geoff of Ashland, John & his wife Elizabeth of Ashland, and Robert & his wife Laurie of Ashland; her grandchildren, Angela, Amy, Christopher, Jake, Emma, Matthew, Luke, Joseph, Rebecca, Christina, William and Stella; her great grandsons, Samuel, Henry, Joseph, and William; her sister Anne Merloni and her husband Victor of Southborough, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Family and friends will honor and remember Dottie’s life by gathering for visiting hours in the McCarthy, McKinney & Lawler Funeral Home, 11 Lincoln St. Framingham on Monday, August 7 from 5-7 p.m. Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday morning in St. Tarcisius Church, 562 Waverly St. Framingham at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Tarcisius Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made in Dottie’s name to: The Alzheimer’s Association, www.alz.org.
