Sr. Mary Francis of All Saints, O.Carm., passed into eternal life at St. Patrick’s Manor, Framingham, on Tuesday, July 25, 2023, in the 59th year of her religious life.
Adrienne Marie Meno was born in Boston, MA on February 10, 1946, to Joseph and Margaret (neePorter} Meno, both of whom were born in Massachusetts and who pre-deceased her. She was of Irish and Italian ancestry and is survived by a large extended family.
Sr. Francis of All Saints entered the Congregation on September 12, 1964, received the Carmelite habit on March 29, 1965, professed first vows on April 5, 1967, and final vows on December 8, 1972. Sr. Francis graduated from St. Joseph’s Hospital School of Practical Nursing in Yonkers, NY in 1971, and had assignments in nursing, including in the clinics. Later assignments included the Activities Department. Her various Missions included Josephine Baird Home (1967}, Our Lady’s Haven (1967-1969 and 1980 -1983}, St. Patrick’s Home (1969-1971}, Mt. Carmel Home, NY (1971-1974), Femcliff Residence (1974-1980), Catholic Memorial Home (1983-1987}, and St. Rita’s Home (1987 -2003). In 2003 she received an Obedience to St. Patrick’s Manor, where she made efforts to bring joy and meaning to the lives of the residents. As her health failed, she was admitted to the nursing home and received the loving care of her Sisters and staff.
Having a very generous nature, Sr. Francis often donated whatever money she was given to various worthy organizations and also arranged for the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass to be offered for others. We know that the Lord cannot be outdone in generosity and so we are confident that the measure with which Sr. Francis of All Saints measured, will now be measured back to her in great abundance!
Family and friends will honor and remember Sr. Francis’ life by gathering for visiting hours in the Holy Family Chapel of St. Patrick’s Manor on Tuesday August 1st from 2-5PM. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the chapel on Wednesday morning at 10 o’clock. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Cemetery, Roslindale.
