Charlotte P. (Maccini, Hitt) McGill, 87, a resident of Ashland passed away peacefully on May 23, 2023 surrounded by her family. Born in Framingham, she was the daughter of the late Peter H. Maccini, Sr. and Mary A. (Ray,Maccini) Moore, and the beloved wife of 55 years to John F. McGill, and the late Donald R. Hitt.
Charlotte worked for many years as an electronics assembler at Aritech. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, crocheting, and refinishing furniture. She loved to travel across the country to visit family and other fun destinations and was an avid fan of the New England Patriots.
Devoted to her family, Charlotte is survived by her husband John, her children, Shelley Leacu & her husband Steve of Ashland, Michael McGill of Agawam, and John McGill of Orlando, FL, her grandchildren, Joseph Leacu & his wife Laura of Westborough, Christine Pocas & her husband Ben of Marlborough, John Leacu and his wife Kate of Westborough, Joshua McGill of Marlborough, Cordelia and Sophine McGill of Agawam, her great grandchildren, Shoshana, Adam, and Savannah Leacu, her brother, Louis Maccini, her sister Anna Hobson, and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her first husband Donald, Charlotte was predeceased by her siblings, Peter Maccini and Roberta Ianiro.
Family and friends will honor and remember Charlotte’s life by celebrating her Funeral Mass on Friday morning May 26th in St. Matthew Church, 26 Highland St. Southborough at 10 o’clock. Interment will follow in Wildwood Cemetery, Ashland.
