FRAMINGHAM – For four hours today, April 22, Framingham Police and members of the Framingham Medical Reserve Corps collected expires, unwanted, and unused prescription and prescription drugs in the parking lot between the Memorial Building and the Framingham Police Station.

The City of Framingham was one of many municipalities across the Commonwealth and the nation, who participated in the DEA’s annual program.

The event is aimed at providing a safe and secure opportunity to dispose of unwanted or expired medication.

Flushing any drugs because it’s bad for the environment.

The DEA event is typically held twice a year – once in the spring and once in the fall.

Members of the public did not even have to get out of their vehicles as the City of Framingham’s event was drive-thru.
