ASHLAND – Robert Allen Myers, 79 of Ashland former longtime resident of Fairfield, CT and later Southborough passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at his home with his family by his side.
He was the husband of Deanna (Marini) Myers for 56 years.
A graduate of Medford High School Class of 1961 and Bentley College Class of 1965, Robert worked as an accountant and controller for United Brands, United Fruit, A & W Brands, and Cadbury Schwepps.
Robert and his wife Deanna resided in several towns throughout his career; including Medford, Billerica, and The Villages, FL.
He served the Southborough community as a former President of the Friends of the Southborough Council on Aging and enjoyed being a member of the Bourbon Club.

In addition, Robert enjoyed traveling, reading, swimming, card games, various Boston Sports teams, especially the Red Sox and Patriots, and attending his grandchildren’s sporting events, plays, and dance recitals.
Myers is survived by his wife, Deanna (Marini) Myers of Ashland, two daughters, Kristin Laird and her husband Aaron of Framingham, and LeAnne Haba and her husband Craig of Franklin, five grandchildren, Olivia Haba, Alexander Haba, Caroline Laird, Noah Laird, and Joshua Laird, one brother, Richard Myers, was brother to the late Shirley Henderson, and many nieces and nephews. He will be fondly remembered as a friend to all he met.
A funeral mass will be celebrated Friday April 21 at 10 a.m. in St. Anne Parish, 20 Boston Post Rd. Southborough, with urn burial to follow in Rural Cemetery in Southborough. Visiting hours will be held Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main Street in Ashland.
