FRAMINGHAM – Brophy Elementary School is adding a second vice principal, starting in May.
And today, April 6 Brophy Principal Jessica Mandes announced Marcella Sancho will be the second vice principal. She starts her transition on May 1.
“We were granted the great opportunity to post a second Vice Principal vacancy that would start supporting us this year. This organizational structure (one principal and two vice principals) matches the other Title I schools in the district,” explained Principal Mandes to Brophy families, in an email.
“Sancho may look familiar to you and that is because she previously served as a social worker here at Brophy,” wrote Principal Mandes to families.

She is currently, the Vice Principal at McCarthy Elementary School in Framingham.
“Sancho has been an invaluable resource during her tenure at McCarthy and has worked to support students, families and staff in all aspects of their experiences. Her skills in the realm of social emotional learning will also help to create a sense of belonging for all our students as we move the important work of growth and achievement.,” wrote The Brophy Principal. “Sancho has lead McCarthy’s Instructional Leadership Team and has strengthen her instructional lens through her work this year with Research for Better Teaching.”
Sancho is also passionate about utilizing her Spanish language skills to support our growing dual language program, said Principal Mandes.
