FRAMINGHAM – About a half acre burned from a brush fire this afternoon in Framingham, near the mass Pike off-ramp exit 111

Framingham Fire Engine 1, Engine 5, Engine 7, and brush truck one responded to an area near the Mass Pike and Route 9, said Assistant Fire Chief John Schults.

Framingham Firefighters knocked down the fire and all the hot spots within an hour, said Chief Schultz.

The first started just after 12:30 p.m.

“Company on scene were replacing guard rails and claimed to have started the fire while using a rotary saw,” said Chief Schultz.
