NORTHH DARTMOUTH – The Framingham State University women’s track and field team was back in action Saturday morning at the 2023 Corsair Classic Track and Field Invitational hosted by UMass Dartmouth.  

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:  

  • Meghan Johnston and Gwen Madden paced the Rams with top ten finishes in the 800 meter run. Johnston crossed in seventh place with a time of 2:45.77, while Madden crossed in ninth place with a time of 2:50.11. 
  • The Rams saw three athletes place in the top ten of the 5,000 meter run. Casey McAuliffe crossed in fourth place with a time of 20:44.43, while Amanda Bedard placed seventh with a time of 21:42. Finished two places behind Bedard was Olivia Poole in ninth with a time of 21:45.

  • Emily Newcomb placed second in the 3,000M steeplechase with a time of 13:19.13. 
  • Alyssa Caputo and Kaylee Beck finished fifth and ninth respectively in the discus with tossed of 28.74M and 22.84M. Beck placed sixth in the hammer with a throw of 34.73M with Caputo following in seventh with a throw of 34.5M. 

UP NEXT: The Rams are back in action Thursday at Regis College.
