ASHLAND – Dawn Marie (Roberto) Heffron, of Ashland, passed away peacefully on March 28, 2023, surrounded by her daughters. She was 59 years young.

Dawn was born and raised in Framingham and attended Framingham South High School. Dawn’s passions in life were cosmetology and caretaking.

She was a true beauty queen herself but that wasn’t just skin deep; her kind and gentle nature led her to a career in nursing, where she took care of her patients as if they were her own family members. In her spare time, she enjoyed helping others, whether it was volunteering at a soup kitchen or picking up her elderly clients to give them a beauty day at the salon.

Dawn’s magnetic personality drew everyone to her, and to know her, was to love her. Her smile radiated from the second you laid eyes on her. She had an infectious laugh that always had everyone laughing along with her. She loved spending time with her friends and family, especially her three daughters. Sharing her love of cooking as a true Italian, brought her such joy. Anyone who was lucky enough to enjoy one of her home cooked meals was never disappointed, and always asked for seconds.

Summer was Dawn’s favorite season; a sunny day meant a beach day not to be missed. She loved all things purple and butterflies. Her life was narrated by music, and she taught her daughters that “a good song can get you through anything.”

Dawn is survived by her three daughters Michelle, Ashley and Tiffani as well as their father, Michael Heffron, along with her sons-in-law Niko, Andrew and Alex, whom she adored. Her younger sister Joanne Brita, and her children Dani, Alex and Amy, as well as her grand puppies Blue and Champ. She was pre-deceased by her mother, Barbara Roberto, and brother, Keith Roberto. She is also survived by her father, Donald Zani, and her two brothers, Peter and Robert Zani.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Dawn’s memory to the Salvation Army Food Pantry.

A celebration of life will be held at the Sherborn Community Center: 2 Sanger St, Sherborn, MA 01770 on Saturday, April 15 from 1 to 5 p.m.

Arrangements by the McCarthy, McKinney & Lawler Funeral Home of Framingham. To share a memory with Dawn’s family, kindly visit www.mccarthyfh.com
