MARLBOROUGH – Companies, organizations, and individuals are invited to participate in United Way of Tri-County’s (UWTC) MetroWest Corporate 5K on Thursday evening, on May 18 2023.

This Corporate 5K promises to be a night filled with company camaraderie, exercise, community support, and fun! Participants will get in some cardio AND compete against other companies for bragging rights and to bring home the MetroWest Corporate 5K Cup!

This after-work event begins at 6:30 pm outside the Marlborough Community Cupboard food pantry, 255 Main Street in Marlborough, and teams will race on the scenic Assabet River Rail Trail. Funds raised will support United Way hunger relief programs including the Pearl Street Cupboard & Café in Framingham, early literacy, and suicide prevention. Each runner can support the UWTC initiative they are most passionate about!

Hungry participants will be refueled with food after the race and Flying Dreams Brewery will be on hand to pour frosty cold ones as you listen to music and celebrate with colleagues and friends. Three dollars of every beer purchased will be donated back to the United Way!

“We are thrilled to re-introduce the Corporate 5K to companies across MetroWest at our new location in Marlborough,” said United Way of Tri-County President & CEO Paul Mina. “This is a great teambuilding event for local businesses, and an opportunity to give back and support community programs like the Marlborough Community Cupboard. We are looking forward to a fun night and to see who brings home the Cup.”

Teams of all sizes and skill levels are encouraged to compete. Individual runners and walkers are welcome and top individual runners will be recognized. To participate as part of a corporate team, each participating company must have a minimum of four people – two male and two female runners – to be eligible for the Corp. 5K Cup!

And of course, the team with the fastest two male and two female runners will take home the Cup!

Be a part of a memorable team building experience and register to run! The registration fee is $35 per team member. Prices go up on May 1.
