FRAMINGHAM – Framingham Firefighters extinguished a basement fire early Wednesday morning, March 8.

Crews responded to a report of basement fire at 12:28 a.m. at 10 Woodstock Drive, said Assistant Fire Chief John Schultz.

Framingham Fire E7,E1,R1,T1,C2 responded to the fire.

On arrival Engine 7 found a fire in the rear under an outside finished deck area, said Assistant Chief Schultz.

“Homeowner kept fire in check with garden hose until crews arrived to extinguish and investigate,” said the Framingham Assistant Fire Chief.

“Cause under investigation,” said Assistant Chief Schultz.

Fire department estimated $20,000 in damage.

No one was injured.
