FRAMINGHAM – Sister Nancy Brennan, CSJ, (Sister Ann Richard), in her 66th year as a beloved member of the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Boston, died on Sunday, March 5, 2023. 

Devoted daughter of the late John F. and Mary E. (Whitley) Brennan, and beloved sister of the late John Brennan. 

Sister Nancy is survived by her loving brothers Richard, Robert, and James and her sister, Janice McNiff, along with many cherished nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, and her Sisters in the Congregation.  Formerly missioned to food service at St. John Parish, Quincy; and Marian Convent, Framingham.  Sister Nancy then ministered for 33 years at Pope John XXIII High School in Everett as teacher, coach and Dean of Students; and for 16 years at Cathedral High School, Boston, as a substitute teacher and assistant in a variety of roles.

Visiting hours at Holy Family Chapel, Sisters of St. Joseph Motherhouse, 631 Cambridge Street, Brighton, MA, Thursday, March 9, 2023, 9:15 to 10 a.m.  Prayer Service at 10a.m. followed by the Funeral Mass and Prayers of Final Commendation at the Motherhouse at 10:15 a.m.

Burial will follow at St. Stephen Cemetery, Fenwick Street, Framingham.
