FRAMINGHAMWith a snowstorm forecasted for Friday night into Saturday, the City of Framingham has decided to issue an emergency parking ban.

The snow emergency parking ban will go into effect on all arterial roads in Framingham beginning midnight on Saturday, March 4, lasting until 3 p.m.

Arterial roads are designated with posted red and white signs.

This parking ban is in addition to the citywide year-round odd/even parking restriction on all streets.

Residents are encouraged to seek off-street parking and not interfere with snow clearing operations.

Any vehicle obstructing snow clearing operations will be towed.

The Recycling Drop-Off Center will be closed to the public on Saturday,March 4.

Postponements & Cancellations

FRAMINGHAM STATE UNIVERSITY: Framingham State University will be closed on Saturday, March 4, due to the impending storm. All events and activities are cancelled.

FRAMINGHAM PLUNGE: In conjunction with Exhibit ‘A’ Brewing Company and the recommendations of our public safety partners in Framingham, Special Olympics is postponing its Framingham Polar Plunge on March 4, It has been rescheduled to Sunday, March 19.

MWRTA: Inclement Weather is forecasted for Saturday morning, March 4, 2023. MWRTA intends to run full service, however please anticipate delays and possible detours on all services. METROWEST YMCA: The MetroWest YMCA Framingham Branch will observe a delayed opening until 9 a.m. AM on Saturday, March 4th. The YMCA has cancelled programs, including Childwatch that start before 9 a.m.

HOOPS & HOMEWORK: The fundraisers for their team Framingham runners on March 4 has been postponed until April 2.

NESBA: The indoor competition for March 4 has been cancelled.

METG: Several of the Massachusetts Educational Theatre Guild’s competitions have been moved to Sunday, March 5. Framingham is scheduled to compete in Sharon at 9 a.m., and that competition is still on for Saturday, March 4 as of 7 p.m.
