FRAMINGHAM – Jonathan B. Damas, 30, died unexpectedly at MetroWest Medical Center in Framingham on Saturday February 18, 2023.

He leaves his fiancé Luisa F. Velasquez with whom he lived and his soon to be son.

He was born in Framingham, the son of Luis Damas and Vilma Florian Damas and was a graduate of Milford High School Class of 2011, where he played Varsity Soccer. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and loved to work on his car.

He worked with his father at Magic Auto Detailing in Marlborough for many years. He had recently been employed in the Sales Department of Eastside Motoring in Waltham.

Jonathan’s fiance was expecting the birth of their son this week and he was overwhelmed with pride and joy in knowing that he would soon become a father.  Jonathan was a great person with a good heart. He was caring and liked to make everybody laugh. He had a big contagious smile that everyone loved and knew him for. It was easy for him to make friendships because of his sweet and endearing personality Growing up, his competitive nature led him to many wrestling matches with brothers and cousins where he always claimed to win. He always managed to have a great time. 

He leaves his parents Luis and Vilma Damas of Milford; two brothers, Bryan Damas of Palmer and Henry Damas of Framingham; his paternal grandparents Luis Alfredo Damas and Eugenia del Carmen Panameno de Damas of El Salvador; Aunts Elena Florian, Aida Florian, Dinora Florian, Estela Damas, Arely Damas; Uncle Hernan Florian and many cousins.

Calling hours will be held Sunday February 26 from 5-9 PM in the Centro Cristiano Emanuel, 814 Boston Post Road East, Marlborough.  

Graveside Service will be held Monday February 27 at 11:00 AM in St. Tarcisius Cemetery, Winthrop Street, Framingham.  

For those who wish to depart from the funeral home to the cemetery, departure time is 9:45 AM from the Collins Funeral Home, 378 Lincoln Street, Marlborough.
