FRAMINGHAM – Public Lands is hosting a screening of “Beyond the Summit” with Pro Skier, Mountaineer and The North Face Athlete Kit DesLauriers on Saturday, March 4.

After Kit DesLauriers became the first person to ski down the Seven Summits — the highest mountains on each of earth’s seven continents — she embarked on a journey to find purpose beyond herself.

Public Lands is hosting an evening with DesLauriers to watch “Beyond The Summit”, a film documenting her two week traverse through the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge on skis to tell the story of a diminishing snowpack.

The event starts at 6 p.m and the public can RSVP here.

DesLauriers is a Professional Skier, The North Face Athlete, POW Athlete Alliance member, author and advocate serving on the board of directors for the Alaska Wilderness League.

Beyond the Summit explores her two weeks of traversing the arctic on skis, telling the story of a diminishing snowpack in one of the most pristine wilderness areas in the world—the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.
