BOSTON – The Framingham High girls indoor track & field team finished in 10th place overall at the MIAA indoor Division 1 meet yesterday at the Reggie Lewis Center in Boston.

Framingham High junior captain Abby Desmarais won the 300-meter title in 39,83 seconds, breaking her own Framingham High School record.

Bay State Conference rivals for the Flyers Newton North High and Brookline High finished 1-2 in the team competition out of 23 teams.

Framingham High freshman Sasha Lamakina captured second place in the 600-meter event. Her time was 1:39.38 minutes. Kylee Bernard from Cambridge Rindge & Latin won the event 1:36.79 minutes.

The Flyers shattered the Framingham High School record in the 4X200 relay, said Coach Chris Collins.

Runners Ava Lomardo (9th), Joanna Ball (12th), Desmarais, Maya Bishop (12th) finished in third place with a time of 1:45.07 minutes.

The Flyers qualified for nationals, said Collins.

Sophomore Marie Scanlon finished in 12th place in the 55-meter hurdles in 9.32 seconds. It was a personal best time.
