FRAMINGHAM – Earlier today, Representative Jack Patrick Lewis was named Chair of the House Federal Stimulus and Census Oversight committee.

“It is an honor to be named Chair of the House Federal Stimulus and Census Oversight Committee,” noted Rep. Lewis. “I am so grateful to Speaker Ron Mariano for nominating me for this position, and to my House colleagues for their support. I look forward to working with Vice Chair Christopher Hendricks and the larger Committee to ensure that our Commonwealth capitalizes on all federal funding opportunities.”

The House Federal Stimulus and Census Oversight committee is responsible for reviewing federal spending and advising methods for the accurate collection of census data. The Committee works with the House Committee on Ways & Means to analyze federal stimulus allocations and research federal requirements on stimulus spending and compliance matters.

Rep. Lewis was also assigned as a member of the Joint Committee on Health Care Finance.

Rep Lewis was first elected in November 2016 and is currently serving in his fourth term.

He represents the 7th Middlesex District, which includes the Town of Ashland and portions of the City of Framingham.
