FRAMINGHAM – The chair of the Framingham Democratic Committee, who is under fire for comments he made in a letter sent to the full City Council and for comments he made during the public portion of the February 7 City council meeting, has called for an emergency meeting tonight, February 16 of the executive committee of the Framingham Democratic Committee.

In an email sent to voting members last night after 11:30 p.m., Framingham Democratic Committee Chair Mike Hugo wrote “I have asked the Executive Committee to convene and adopt a statement and to take such appropriate action as it deems fit, to address statements I made in a letter and during a comment period to the City Council, on February 7, 2023. Therefore, please take notice that, pursuant to Article 3, Section 7 there will be an Emergency Meeting of the Executive Committee Thursday Evening, February 16.”

He is also requesting “the issuance of a statement by the Executive Committee of the Framingham Democratic Committee, relative to comments.”
