FRAMINGHAM – City of Framingham Mayor Charlie Sisitsky has nominated Roberta Roberti to the 5-member Framingham Housing Authority.

She will replace former long-time member Phyllis May, who stepped down in 2022.

May was the housing authority resident seat on the 5-member Authority.

It is unknown where Roberti resides as the City of Framingham redacted her address on her January 4 application. (see below)

The nomination was submitted to the 11-member Framingham City Council earlier this month.

The Framingham City Council has 30 days to approve or reject the nomination. If no action is taken with 30 days, she will be confirmed.

There are 5 Commissioners on the Framingham Housing Authority.

The Authority meets monthly to oversee the Authority’s management of public housing: modernization/preventative maintenance, state and federal finance, section 8 voucher program, and family housing.

The next meeting is Monday, February 13 at 2 p.m.

The City’s website list the following members with their terms, but the list is outdated, as May has stepped down and the term expirations have not been updated.

Starr retired in spring of 2022.

The Mayor nominated Steve Joyce and re-nominated Robert Merusi to the Authority in March of 2022.

The City Council approved their terms through June of 2025.
