FRAMINGHAM – The Framingham High boys swim & dive team finished fourth at the Bay State Conference meet last week.
The 16-member Flyers crew scored a total of 212 points in the 2-day meet, followed by Needham, Brookline, and Wellesley.
In the 200-yard medley relay Framingham finished second (1:43.43 minutes) and sixth (1:49.88 minutes). Swimmers were Sam Shi, Edward Gao, Ethan Lu, and Brandon Liu in second place, and Ben Crocker, CJ Crocker, Josh Peace, and Ethan Pham in sixth place.
Sophomore Brandon Liu won the 100-yard freestyle event for Framingham. Liu touched the wall in 49.09 seconds. Senior Ethan Pham finished sixth in 51.70 seconds and senior Ryan McLoughlin placed 18th in 57.70 seconds.

In the 50-yard freestyle sprint event, Brandon Liu touched the wall in second place in 22.62 seconds, out-touched by Needham senior Jason Chiappinelli. Senior Edward Gao took 9th in 24.09 seconds and McLoughlin placed 15th in 25.97 seconds.
A trio of Framingham swimmers earned points in the 100-yard breaststroke. Senior Edward Gao won the race in 1:02.99 minutes. Senior Ethan Pham finished 4th in 1:06.36 minutes and senior CJ Crocker was 8th in 1:10.28 minutes.
Framingham sophomore Ethan Lu finished 8th in 2:09.80, sophomore Sam Shi was 9th in 2:10.23, and freshman Ben Crocker took 13th in 2:19.02 in the 200-yd individual medley event.
Framingham divers senior Douglas Burke, sophomore Juan Catalo, sophomore Noah Farhadian earned points for the Flyers.
Burke finished 6th overall with 201.20 points. Catalo finished 10th, Farhadian took 12th, while sophomore Kanwar Randhawa finished 14th. This is the first high school dive season dive the sophomores.

In the 500-yard freestyle, sophomore Nick Swan finished 19th in the distance event in 6:17.76 minutes.
Freshman Ed Coelho finished 22nd in 7:18.89 minutes and sophomore Ben Clayton finished 23rd in 7:38.97 minutes. This is first high school swim season for Coelho and Clayton.
Framingham finished 7th and 15th in the 200-yard freestyle relay. Swimmers Ethan Lu, Ryan McLoughlin, Josh Peace, and CJ Crocker touch the wall in 1:39.58 minutes. Swimmers Ben Clayton, Noah Farhadian, Juan Catao, and Kanwar Randhawa touch the wall in 2:35.48 minutes
Sophomore Sam Shi captured 6th place in the 100-yard backstroke in 1:01.77 minutes. Freshman Ben Crocker finished 10th in 1:04.11 minutes and sophomore Nick Swan was 14th in 1:06.32 minutes.

In the 100-yard butterfly event, sophomores Ethan Lu won 2nd place in 55.46 seconds, and Josh Peace finished 8th in 1:00.82 minutes.
Framingham took 4th in the final event of the meet in 3:31.62 minutes. Swimmers of the 400 freestyle relay were Sam Shi, Edward Gao, Ethan Pham, and Brandon Liu.
Framingham High boys swim and dive finished the regular season with a record of 2-2-1.
The South Sectional meet is February 8 for diving and February 12 for swimming.
