FRAMINGHAM – Ilma Macedo Da Silva, 80, of Framingham passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2023. 

She was the wife of the late Elizeu Gonçalves Da Silva who died in 2004. 

Born in Alto Caparaó, Minas Gerais, Brazil, Ilma immigrated to the United States in 1994.

Ilma was a beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a faithful woman who loved the Lord, her family, the church, and her community. She shared the Gospel as much as she could and witnessed the goodness of God to all around her. She led many to Christ because of her faithful testimony and loved supporting her former church in Brazil with missionary work and care packages. In addition to being a prayer warrior, she was also a talented seamstress and an avid painter.  

She is survived by six children; Sandra Maria Macedo Fortes and her husband Clélio Fortes De Sousa, Sonia Regina Wojcicki and her husband Willian Wojcicki, Eliane DaSilva Venancio and her husband Ermano José Venancio, Zélia Macedo Da Silva Mulin and her husband Ailton Cordeiro Mulin, Alexsander Macedo Da Silva and his wife Tercia Lucia DaSilva, Darling Macedo Merrill and her husband USMC Corporal Adam Ralph Merrill, ten grandchildren, Fernanda Wojcicki Sant’Anna and her husband Gleidson Silveira Sant’Anna, Lilian Wojcicki DeOliveira and her husband US Army Specialist Cristian Vilarino DeOliveira, Ailton Cordeiro Mulin Júnior and his wife Caroline Coelho Mulin, USMC Sargent Kevin DaSilva Venancio and his wife US Navy Petty Officer 3rd Class Sanne Theodora Maria Venancio, Rebeca Silva Moura and her husband Jefferson De Souza Moura, USMC Lance Corporal Kenny DaSilva Venancio, Alexandra Dantas Silva, Jonathan Dantas DaSilva, Violet Marie Merrill, and Noah Adam Macedo Merrill, and four great grandchildren, Julia Wojcicki Sant’Anna, Matthew Wojcicki Sant’Anna, Laura Wojcicki DeOliveira, and Sophia Wojcicki DeOliveira.           

Services are private. 

Donations in Ilma’s name may be made to the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.
