FRAMINGHAM – The Framingham High girls indoor track & field team won the Division 1 state title in the dash relay yesterday, January 21 at the MSTCA D1 Relays at the Reggie Lewis center in Boston.

The Flyers, the #2 seed going into the event, won the event in a time of 24.7 seconds.

Sprinters were Evelyn Poku, Maya Bishop, Joanna BallĀ , and Abby Desmarais.

“Fabulous day for the Flyers,” said Coach Chris Collins. “Girls finish 8th overall winning 1 state title and coming .14 seconds away from a second one while qualifying for Nationals.”

The Flyers finished in second place in the 4X200 relay.

Wachusett Regional won the event in 1:46.81 minutes. Framingham was second in 1:47 minutes. Lowell was third in 1;47.29 seconds.

Runners in that relay were Ball, Ella Terranova, Bishop, & Desmarais.
