FRAMINGHAM – Framingham Police are an investigation what was reported as a “robbery” on the Cochituate Rail Trail on December 31.

A female was walking in the area of School Street & Queens Way around 10:30 a.m. and was “struck several times by an unknown male,” said Framingham Police spokesperson Lt. Rachel Mickens.

“The male attempted to take her cell phone during the incident,” said Lt. Mickens.

“A second male was also present during the incident,” said the police spokesperson today, January 4.

The suspects are “Suspect “described as Hispanic males, late teens, bright red jacket (possibly two toned),” said Lt. Mickens.

The “victim was injured but not transported,” said Lt. Mickens.

SOURCE requested a copy of the police report.

“This incident is currently under investigation and cannot be released at this time,” said the Police Department.
