1 Schools re-open today after the holiday break.

2. Due to New Year’s Day holiday, curbside trash collection is on a one-day delayed collection for the rest of the week. Which means if you normally put your barrels out on Tuesday morning, they should go out on Wednesday morning this week.

Christmas tree curbside collection will take place next week.

3. CITY OF FRAMINGHAM MEETINGS ( remote unless otherwise noted):

City Council at 7 p.m. at the Blumer room in the Memorial Building.
Framingham Conservation Commission at 7:30 p.m.
Framingham Historic District Commission at 7:30 p.m.

Framingham High girls basketball will be at Shrewsbury High for a 7 p.m. game

5. Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker will deliver remarks thanking the people of Massachusetts at 2 p.m. today. Maura Healey will be sworn in as the next Governor of Massachusetts on January 5.

Congress starts its new session today, January 3.
