HARTFORD, CONNECTICUT – The Framingham State University men’s basketball team was back in action Friday evening and were defeated 71-51 by host Trinity College in one game of the 2022 Trinity College Men’s Basketball Holiday Invitational.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS: 

  • The first half of the game was back and forth with multiple ties and lead changes. The Rams trailed 19-14 with just over seven minutes to play, but they rattled off a 7-0 run taking a 21-19 lead. Trinity closed the half with a run of their own and led 33-27 at the half. 
  • The Bantams opened the second half with a 9-2 run and never looked back as they held off the Rams to secure the victory. 
  • The Rams were led on the offensive end by 14 points on 5-of-9 from the field from JD Okafor. Okafor added four rebounds in the game. 
  • Bryan Thompson added eight points, a rebound and three assists, while Tevin Charles chipped in with seven points, five boards and two assists. 
  • Jahden Erold added seven points and eight boards off the bench for the Rams who shot 26% from the floor in the game. 

UP NEXT:  The Rams are back in action tomorrow when they face Endicott College in the Tournament’s Consolation game at noon.
