MARLBOROUGH – Leonard Johnson, 81, passed away on Saturday, December 24, 2022 at UMass Memorial Hospital – Leominster Campus.

Born in Framingham, he was the son of the late Clayton and Alice (Greene) Johnson.

Raised in Framingham, Lenny left high school early to enlist in the United States Marine Corps, where he honorably served his country in Paris Island, NC, Quantico, VA and aboard the USS Wasp.

He met the love of his life, Toyusanne Leisenring, in 1969.

The two married and lived in Framingham for a few years before permanently residing in Marlborough in 1977.

Lenny enjoyed fishing, camping, working on home construction projects, and collecting rare sports cards. He and his wife enjoyed their annual trips to Old Orchard Beach, Maine. As many knew, Lenny was a massive Tom Brady fan. Most importantly, Lenny loved and cared for his family.

He will be lovingly missed by his wife of 52 years, Toyusanne (Leisenring) Johnson of Marlborough; a daughter, Casey Huff and her husband, Michael of Sterling; a stepson, Jack Wainwright of FL; two brothers, Russell Johnson and his wife, Gemma of Framingham, Norman Johnson of Ashland; 4 grandchildren, Justin, Timothy, Brandon, Brett and his fiancé, Regan; two great-grandchildren, Rose and Micha; and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he is predeceased by 3 brothers, Clayton, Robert and Richard Johnson; and 4 sisters, Jane Evington, Barbara Teukett, Dorothy Hann, and Yvonne Frazer.

In lieu of flowers, please donate in his memory to the Wounded Worrier Project online at www.woundedwarriorproject.org.

Currently, there are no services planned. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Miles-Sterling Funeral & Tribute Center, 100 Worcester Rd., Sterling.
