FRAMINGHAM – The Framingham State University men’s basketball team closed first semester action Sunday afternoon as they were defeated 81-52 by Salve Regina University in non-conference action.     

The two teams now have identical records at 3-7.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS: 

  • The Rams were led offensively by Jahden Erold. Erold scored 15 points on 6-of-12 from the floor and added nine boards, two assists and three steals. 
  • Marshal Martin chipped in with 12 points and three rebounds with a pair of blocks, while JD Okafor finished the game just shy of a double double with eight points and 10 rebounds. 
  • The Seahawks were led by a game-high 29 points from Mike Spencer. Spencer connected on 10-of-27 from the floor and grabbed seven rebounds. 
  • Clay Brochu finished the game with 26 points, while Declan Walmsley added 10. 
  • The Rams shot 42% from the floor for the game and 30% from behind the arc, while Salve Regina connected on 42% from the floor and 32% from behind the arc. 

UP NEXT:  The Rams are back in action on December 30th and 31st at the Trinity Holiday Tournament.
