SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA – Framingham High senior Sam Burgess finished 7th at the national Cross-Country Championship race in California today, November 10.

This was the second consecutive year, Burgess had qualified for the race.

His time today was 15:13.6 minutes in the 5K race.

Of the 39 runners who qualified and ran today in the boys race, 36 of them went sub 16 minutes.

Last year, Burgess finished 29th at nationals.

This was Burgess final high school cross-country race.

he finished second at the regional meet, to qualify for nationals.

The Class of 2023 Framingham High student has committed to Harvard University.

He will run indoor track & field and outdoor track & field to finish out his high school athletic career.
