ASHLAND – Barbara A. (Annesi) Eagan, of Ashland, passed away peacefully in her sleep after a short illness.

Born in Framingham in 1936, she was the daughter of the late William and Mary (Sinacola) Annesi. 

Barbara graduated from Framingham High School in 1954 and remained active with her class reunion planning group for many years.

She worked as a secretary for Ashland Public Schools for many years. 

Barbara showed her love through cooking for her friends and family. It was rare to visit her home and not leave with a handful of homemade food. 

Barbara was predeceased by her daughter, Kathleen in 2012, she is survived by her husband, Thomas Eagan, and her children Thomas Eagan, Jr. and his wife Denise of Topsfield, Timothy Eagan and his husband Brian of Quincy, and Gabrielle Porciello and her husband Eugene of Mendon, four grandchildren, Thomas Eagan and Timothy Eagan of Topsfield, and Evan Porciello and Ethan Porciello of Mendon. She is also survived by her sister Patricia (Annesi) Potenza of Northbridge, and her brother William Annesi and his wife Donna of Mendon, as well as many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday Dec. 9 at 11 a.m. in St. Matthew’s Parish, 26 Highland Street in Southborough, with burial to follow in St. Tarcisius Cemetery in Framingham.
