FRAMINGHAM – Eileen P. White, age 85, died peacefully at her home in Framingham on Monday, November 7, 2022.

Born to the late Charles and Emily (Gritz) White of Boston.

Eileen was the beloved wife of the late Martin Dapkus, who died July 10, 2002.

She was a true down to earth philanthropist, as defined “love of humanity”, giving gifts of her time, talent, and treasure to help make life better for other people and animals. Eileen was a wonderful person, caring and kind.  It meant a lot to Eileen to spread the reminder to be responsible and spay or neuter your pet.

She held many organizations dear to her heart including the MSPCA, the Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA), veterans’ organizations and a proud member of the Weston Rotary Club.

For many years Eileen was a dedicated executive secretary at the John Hancock Insurance Company of Boston.

Survived by her loving daughter, Leslie Pugliese of Framingham, grandson Michael Pugliese and his stepfather Dave Davis both of Ashland.  Cherished nephew Robert and his wife Lisa Matarazzo; great nieces and nephews Christopher, Elena, Nicholas, and Emily Matarazzo all of Boston.

She was the sister of the late Ann Matarazzo.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to a time of visitation on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, 10 to 11 a.m. at Norton Funeral Home, 53 Beech St. (corner of Union Ave.) Framingham.  Funeral services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Eileen’s memory can be made to the MSPCA (mspca.org) or a charity of one’s choice.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Norton Funeral Home in Framingham
