ASHLAND – A water main break forced the early dismissal of the Ashland Middle School today, November 4.

At 11:30 a.m., the Ashland Fire Department and DPW alerted the school of a water main break within a few houses of Ashland Middle School.

“Due to the utility failure, water has now been shut down in the area, impacting our school activities,” said the Principal in an email to families just before 1 p.m.

“Due to sanitary and safety concerns, the school building is closing early. Early dismissal for AMS students will begin at 1pm. If your child takes a bus home, they will begin their route home around 1p.m.,” said the Principal.
