FRAMINGHAM – The Framingham State University men’s soccer, volleyball and women’s soccer teams are set to compete in this week’s Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Tournaments, while the field hockey team is set to compete in the Little East Conference (LEC) Championship Tournament.

The men’s soccer team captured the MASCAC Regular Season Title after finishing the regular season 6-0-1 in league play.  The Rams are the top seed in this week’s tournament and will host the winner of the #4 Bridgewater State/#5 Westfield State quarterfinal in one semifinal on Friday at 6 p.m.  The tournament concludes on Sunday with the winners of the two semifinals meeting at the highest remaining seed.

The volleyball team finished the season 6-1 in league play and captured a share of the 2022 MASCAC Regular Season title with Westfield State who also finished 6-1. By virtue of their head-to-head victory, the Rams earn the number one seed in the tournament and will host the winner of the #4 Worcester State/#5 Bridgewater State quarterfinal on Thursday night at 7:15 p.m. in one semifinal.  The winners of the two semifinals will meet on Saturday for the Tournament Championship at the highest remaining seed.

The women’s soccer team finished the regular season 3-4 in MASCAC action and earned the fifth seed in the tournament. The Rams will travel to fourth seed Worcester State on Tuesday night for a quarterfinal matchup beginning at 7 p.m.  The winner of that game will advance to face to top seed Westfield State on Friday in one semifinal. The tournament concludes on Sunday with the winners of the two semifinals meeting at the highest remaining seed.

The field hockey team finished the regular season 6-6 in the LEC earning the eighth seed in this week’s LEC Tournament. The Rams will travel to Southern Maine on Tuesday at 7 p.m. for one quarterfinal.  The winner of the game will advance to the semifinals on Thursday and will face the winner of the quarterfinal between fourth seed Keene State and fifth seed Plymouth State. The tournament concludes on Saturday with the winners of the two semifinals meeting in the championship game.
