WESTFIELD – The Framingham State University women’s cross country team finished fourth at the 2022 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic (MASCAC) Championships Saturday morning hosted by Westfield State at Stanley Park. 

INSIDE THE NUMBERS: 

  • The Rams secured the fourth place finish with 81 total points, while Bridgewater State secured the third spot with 68 points. Westfield State claimed the 2022 MASCAC title. 
  • The Rams were led by a fifth place finish from Emily Newcomb. Newcomb completed the 5K course through Stanley Park in a time of 19:43.

  • Meghan Johnston was the next Rams to cross finishing in the top 20 as she crossed at 20:38. 
  • Camille Carvalho, Jemma DePasquale and Olivia Poole crossed back-to-back for the Rams in 21st, 22nd, and 23rdwith times of 21:04.99, 21.04.99, and 21:12. 
  • Rounding out the top seven for the Rams were Amanda Bedard (21:20 and Kammarie Pelland (21:26). 

UP NEXT: 

The Rams are off next week but are back in action on November 12that the NCAA Regional meet hosted by Bowdoin College.
