FRAMINGHAM – William A. “Billy” Gould, Jr., age 71, of Framingham, died at MetroWest Medical Center on October 21, 2022 after a period of declining health.

He was the son of the late William A. and Charlotte M. (Johnson) Gould, who resided together in Ashland. He was the brother of the late Carol Ann Gould.

Billy was educated in the Ashland Public Schools and graduated as a member of the Ashland High School Class of 1969.

He then went on to work for 49 years in the supermarket environment, including steady employment at the Fernandes and Shaws Supermarket stores in Ashland. He also worked for many years at the Boston ADESA automobile auction facility in Framingham.

Besides his surviving family members in Framingham, Littleton, Berkley, and Carver as well as Cape Elizabeth and South Portland, ME, he leaves behind a circle of friends whose companionship and neighborliness he enjoyed while traveling, boating, camping, and sampling the pleasures of life.

A visiting hour will be held on Monday, October 31, 2022, from 11:30 – 12:15 p.m. at the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Road (off Rt 30), Wayland, with a funeral service at 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery in Wayland.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to NINDS (the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke) organization or a local food pantry.
