FRAMINGHAM – Framingham State sophomore Hailey Baker scored two goals en route to a 4-1 win over Fisher on Wednesday afternoon at the Maple Street Field on the campus of Framingham State.

Prior to the contest the Rams honored the five Rams seniors playing in their final season: Ashley Fenton; Brooke Fenton; Olivia Renda; Samantha Walsh; Calen Frongillo.

HOW IT HAPPENED: 

  • The Rams got on the board in the 18th minute when Aurora Kilrain sent a great through ball that was gathered by Hailey Baker and sent past the crashing Fisher goalkeeper.   
  • Fisher evened the game in the 60th minute when Kelly Wallace sent a strike in from 25 yards tucked just under the crossbar.  
  • The Rams retook the lead back about two minutes when Baker scored her second of the game after a setup from Alicia Tocman.  
  • Wallace had another number of good looks within the last twenty minutes but could not convert. 
  • The Rams scored an insurance goal in the 84th minute when Brooke Fenton tucked one inside the right post to make it 3-1. Calen Frongillo a setup from Fenton in 85th minute to reach the final margin.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS: 

  • Rams goalkeeper Jetta Oskirko made five saves in the win for the Rams.  
  • Olivia Leo made ten stops in the loss for Fisher.  
  • The Rams outshot the Falcons 26-to-14 in the contest and had 5 corner kick attempts to the Fisher 4.  

UP NEXT: 

The Rams close out the 2022 regular season on Saturday when they travel to Fitchburg State for MASCAC action.
