FRAMINGHAM – There is a detour on Route 135 in Framingham due to a train derailment, said Mayor Charlie Sisitsky this morning, October 23.

Framingham Police posted this photo on their social media of the road blocked at Cedar Street and Waverley Street (Route 135).

There are multiple train cars off the tracks, but all are upright, said the City of Framingham.

Framingham Police said the commuter rail is currently impacted by this derailment.

Framingham Police said Route 135 eastbound is being diverted at Cedar Street.

Route 135 Westbound is being diverted at Concord Street (Route 126), said Framingham Police.

Expected to be impassable until approximately after 10 p.m. said Framingham Police.
