FRAMINGHAM – Police are investigating shots fired early Sunday morning in the Coburnville neighborhood of the City.

SOURCE received reports of the shots fired from residents in the neighborhood on Sunday morning, October 9, but Police did not release any details until Monday evening, October 10.

Around 6 a.m., on Sunday, Framingham Police received a report of shots fired in the area of Cedar Street and Cypress Street, said Framingham Police spokesperson Lt. Rachel Mickens.

“Six shell casings were found on Cypress Street,” said Lt. Mickens.

No one was injured, said Lt. Mickens.

No suspect description was made available to the media.

The caliber of the weapon and other details are being withheld by police, as the incident is still under investigation, said the police spokesperson.

The neighborhood is located south of Route 135 in Framingham, but west of the MBTA commuter rail station.
