FRAMINGHAM – The Framingham High boys soccer team battled to a 2-2 tie with Shrewsbury this afternoon at the turf field at Fuller Middle.

The Flyers fell behind 1-0 on a turnover and a breakaway goal by Shrewsbury.

Framingham tied it up late in the first half on a beautiful free kick by senior Yuri Teixeira, said coach Jon Wood.

The Shrewsbury goalie had trouble collecting the initial shot and senior captain Ben Sharon put it in the goal.

The Flyers took the lead in the second half on a beautiful shot by junior forward Ben Dionisio, said Coach Wood.

The goal was assisted by sophomore midfielder Oscar Ramirez.

Unfortunately, the Flyers squandered the lead with three minutes to play, and allowed Shrewsbury to tie the game on a scramble in front of the net, said Coach Wood.
