FRAMINGHAM – The Framingham High girls swim & dive team – without a home pool this season due to the closure of Keefe Tech’s pool, had planned to have a home swim meet at Wayland community pool on Saturday at 3:15 p.m.

But the bubble has yet to be installed, so the meet is now at Newton North on October 1 at 3 p.m.

“So, today was a mixed bag. We are hoping to have the complete building connection done either in the next couple of hours or finish the remainder tomorrow morning. We did get the dome spread out, so the 2nd hardest part of the job is done. After that will be securing the pool doors, and sides. Then bringing in all the lights and safety equipment. (Poles and cables etc.) – Saturday. The electrician can be here on Monday, provided everything he needs is in place. …  My best guess is that we would open on Monday afternoon,” posted management of the Wayland community pool.

The Flyers had an outdoor swim met last Saturday, but with temperatures dropping the bubble needed to be installed over the pool. It is not completed, so the Flyers now travel to Newton for their meet against the Tigers.

Framingham is 2-2 overall thus far this season.
