FRAMINGHAM – Sister Rena Foley, CSJ, (Sister Clare Denise), in her 63rd year as a beloved member of the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Boston, died Saturday, September 24, 2022. 

Devoted daughter of the late Nicholas J. and Mary (Corbett) Foley, and loving sister of the late Harold Foley, James Foley and Claire Kring. 

Sister Rena is survived by her many devoted and cherished nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, friends, and her Sisters in the Congregation. 

Formerly missioned as a teacher at Gate of Heaven School, South Boston; St. Francis School, Braintree; St. Columbkille School, Brighton; and St. Bridget School, Framingham. 

Sister Rena also served as a chaplain at Mary Immaculate Restorative Center, Lawrence; Director of Pastoral Care, Fontbonne Hall, Framingham; Franciscan Children’s Hospital, Brighton; and for over 10 years at the McNamara House, Allston.

Visiting hours at Holy Family Chapel, Sisters of St. Joseph Motherhouse, 631 Cambridge Street, Brighton, MA, Friday, September 30, 2022, 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. 

Prayer Service at 10:15 a.m. followed by the Funeral Mass and Prayers of Final Commendation at the Motherhouse at 10:30 a.m.

Burial will follow at St. Patrick Cemetery, 180 Pond Street, Natick.
