ASHLAND – John W. Clifford, 74 of Ashland passed away Wednesday September 21, 2022 at his home surrounded by family. 

A lifelong resident of Ashland, John was the son of the late Ernest and Katherine (Hall) Clifford. 

He was the husband of Jacqueline (Shaw) Clifford for 45 years. 

A graduate of Wentworth Institute, John worked as a mechanical engineer for Butler Automatic Co., a maker of industrial printing machines.

In addition to this wife, he is survived by his daughter, Trillian Clifford of Ashland, and his son Timothy Winter and his wife Rebecca of Acton, three grandchildren, Alma, Violet, and Wolfgang, and one sister, Joan Shaughnessy of CT.

In keeping with John’s wishes, the services are private, and under the arrangements of Matarese Funeral Home.
