FRAMINGHAM – Jessie A. (Wlodyka) Bielski, 101, a lifelong resident of Saxonville passed away peacefully on Friday, September 2, 2022.  

Devoted wife of the late Walter Bielski for 49 ½ years, she was the daughter of the late Waclaw & Julia (Fortuna) Wlodyka.

Jessie graduated from Framingham High School, Class of 1939.

She organized the class reunions every five years until the 70th in 2009 at the Framingham Country Club.

She started working at Hodgman Rubber Co. in 1941 on Army rain coats. In 1942 she went to Lombard Governor Co., who were doing work for the US Navy and was secretary to the office manager. In 1948, she went to General Motors as secretary to the Car Distributor until her retirement in 1982.

Jessie loved swimming from an early age, and was the swimming champion of Framingham Park Dept. when she was 16.

She worked part time for the Framingham News. She was a parishioner of St. George Parish, where she enjoyed singing in the choir, and was on the bowling team. She liked to cook, bake cookies on holidays, crocheting afghans, and dances on weekends with friends.

Devoted to her family, Jessie is survived by her brother, Edmund Wlodyka, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Besides her husband Walter, she was predeceased by her siblings, John and Ted Wlodyka, Helene Foss, and Irene Westerkamp, and her niece, Laural Ann Wlodyka.

Family and friends will honor and remember Jessie’s life by gathering for visiting hours in the McCarthy, McKinney & Lawler Funeral Home, 11 Lincoln St. Framingham on Wednesday, September 14 from 4-7 p.m.

Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday morning in St. George Church, 74 School St. Saxonville at 10 o’clock.

Interment will follow in St. Stephen Cemetery.
