FRAMINGHAM – The Framingham High boys varsity soccer team had its season and home opener at the new Fuller Middle turf field on Thursday afternoon, September 8.

The Tigers got on the board first with a quick goal in the first half.

Newton North led 1-0 at halftime.

Senior captain Jack Carney took over in the second half and scored three straight goals for a hat trick, said Coach Wood.

Two of those goals were assisted by senior forward Patrick Simoes. said Coach Wood.

The third was assisted by Junior Ryan Viana, said Coach Wood.

Senior captain Ben Sharon anchored the defense and played extremely well, said Coach Wood.

The Flyers are now 1-0 under head coach Dan Avery, after the 3-1 victory.

Framingham is back on the Fuller turf field on Saturday, September 10 with a game against Concord-Carlisle High at 3 p.m.
