FRAMINGHAM – Robert E. Gould, 95, a longtime resident of Holliston, died Monday, September 5, 2022.

He was the devoted husband of 67 years to Alma E. (Werner) Gould of Holliston.

Born in Warwick, RI and raised in Connecticut, he was the son of the late Ervin and Bertha (Johnson) Gould.

During WWII, he served in the US Navy as a baker.

He started his career as a milkman and eventually as a Route Coordinator for H.P. Hood Company for a span of over 50 years.

Robert was a very active member of First Parish in Framingham. He served in many capacities including Sexton at the church for over 50 years.  He took pride in making sure everything was looking just right.

He was a longtime member of the Fairs ‘n Squares, a square-dancing club in Framingham as well as a Mason and a member of the Alpha Lodge, A.F. & A.M.

He enjoyed golfing and fishing and cherished his time spent with family and friends at Sunset Lake in New Hampshire.  He enjoyed attending his grandchildren’s dance recitals, horse shows and hockey games.

Besides his wife, Alma, Robert is survived by his children, Sandra Porter and her husband Howard of Meredith, NH, Karl Gould and his wife Angela of Bethpage, Tenn., and Holly Willette of Framingham.

He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, Emily, Abigail, Stephanie, Melissa, Derek and Madison; and 2 great grandchildren, Riley and Raelynn and many nieces and nephews.
