FRAMINGHAM – Michael Stephen O’Brien, age 71, of Chandler, Arizona, formerly of Milford, and Framingham, passed away, after a lengthy battle with cancer, on Wednesday June 29, 2022.
He was legendary for his great Irish stubbornness and his Brad Pitt looks (if you know you know) until his dying day. He loved that his initials were MSOB and its hidden connotation. Michael believed that “Living well is the best revenge” – George Herbert and that “money is the answer for everything” – Ecclesiastes 10:19.
He loved old school political debates, especially featuring Ronald Reagan; The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson; Frank Sinatra; NYTimes Crossword puzzles and Suduko. He was an avid reader and self-credited Historian.
He was a proud member of Mensa and an Eagle Scout. He was a sensitive, private and an often-misunderstood soul. His family is grateful for the love and care his longtime caregivers, Rekah and Koos provided to him during his end-of-life transition. We are also eternally grateful to Hospice of the Valley – Phoenix for their steady and devoted care during this time.
Michael was predeceased by his parents Catherine (Fahy) and Alfred J Tamuleviz.
He is survived by his niece Carrie Weaver and her husband Chris, great niece, Elizabeth “Lizzie”, and great-nephew, Charlie. He is also survived by his niece/nephews, Meredith, Colin, Cavan and their families and by his twin sister, Maureen Bonzey and her husband Chuck.
Catherine C Tamuleviz (Fahy) passed away on October 19, 2005. She was buried at Valley of the Sun Mortuary and Cemetery in Chandler, AZ. Michael’s request was to be buried with his beloved mother; with Michael’s passing, our family was able to bring them both home to be laid to rest together and with Catherine’s mother, father, sister and husband at St Stephen’s Cemetery in Framingham.
At the family’s request, services will be private.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Norton Funeral Home.
In memory of Michael, Be Kind and do something nice for someone else.
