1 Last night, 6th Middlesex District state representative candidate Dhruba Sen dropped out of the race. Citing health reasons, he told supporters to vote for School Committee Chair Priscila Sousa during his closing statement of the Framingham League of Women Voters forum

2. Today is 2 weeks until the primary election in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts on September 6.

Registers Democrats and registered Republicans will receive their party’s ballot. Those individuals who are not enrolled in any party can choose a Democratic or Republican ballot.

Framingham now has 27 Precincts not 18 due to the 2020 Census redistricting. And two of the Precincts 9 and 21 have sub-Precincts.

On the September 6 ballots are candidates for Massachusetts Governor, Lt. Governor, Attorney General, Secretary of State, Auditor, Treasurer, and state senators and state representatives.

Framingham will elect a new state representative on September 6. There are three Democrats on the Democratic ballot and there are no Republicans in the race so the vote on September 6 – the day after Labor Day – will determine who will be state representative for the 6th Middlesex District, barring a write-in challenge.

The three Democrats are Drhuba Sen, Margareth Shepard, and Priscila Sousa. (SOURCE did a Q&A with each candidate earlier this month. Click on their name to read it.)

Early voting for he race begins Saturday at the Memorial Building only.

3. There is a political fundraiser for Sousa tonight at Bella Costa from 4:30 to 6 p.m.
