PLYMPTON – Ronald “Ron” Charles Studley, 77, passed away at his home in Plympton, with his family and dog Sasha by his side, on August 13, 2022

Ron was born on April 8, 1945, in Worcester, to Russell C. and Lillian A. (Wilkes) Studley. Ron attended South High School in Worcester, and graduated with an associate’s degree from Quinsigamond Community College.

Ron held several municipality roles throughout his career and worked for both the City of Worcester and the City of Framingham where he retired as the Treasurer/Collector.

He also served on the Hilcrest Water District in Leicester. Ron enjoyed spending time at the Singletary Rod & Gun Club, vacationing on the Cape, fishing, and gardening.

Ron will forever be remembered and loved by his family and he is survived by his wife, Kathleen Bussiere and their four children, Jeff Studley of Foster, RI, Lisa (Mark) Derby of Plympton, Greg Studley of Denver, CO and Kevin (Michelle) Studley of Plymouth, MA, along with his sister Carol (Studley) Giza of Acushnet, MA. He leaves behind 7 grandchildren, Mason, Logan and Blake Studley, Lily and Ailyn Derby, and Owen and Shea Studley, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Russell and Lillian Studley and his brother-in-law, John Giza.

A private service and celebration of life will be held for family and friends on Thursday, September 1, 2022, at Shepherd Funeral Home in Kingston.

Memorial donations may be made to the MSPCA-ANGELL MSPCA-Angell – Kindness and Care for Animals. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to West River Hospice for their caring support throughout Ron’s final days
